Visit of CMD, NHPC to Kiru HE Project (624 MW) 03-Dec-2025

Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC visited 624 MW Kiru Hydroelectric Project, CVPPL, Kishtwar (J&K) on 02.12.2025. HOP kiru briefed him about the ongoing work of project. CMD, NHPC reviewed the ongoing progress of Civil, Hydro-Mechanical and Electro Mechanical works at Kiru HEP site.

During the visit, CMD NHPC witnessed the lowering of Stay Ring in Unit #4 of Power House , start of turbine floor casting of unit#2 and start of Trunnion works in S3 bay of Dam.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress of the under construction works of the Project, CMD, NHPC emphasized the need for concerted and coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the Project and assured continuous support from the NHPC Management.

During the visit, CMD NHPC was accompanied by Shri Ramesh Mukhiya, MD- CVPPL and other senior officers of NHPC and CVPPL.
